Vepsa’s new “Al Vento” clothing release is a nod to the past, taking inspiration from the 1970s and 80s.

Vespa has revealed the second drop of its “Al Vento” clothing collection, which it says is born out of “the unmistakable aroma of two-stroke fuel mix.”

Chic-looking scooters are part of what makes Vespa, well, Vespa. But so is its clothing line which often features an equally impressive dose of elegance.

Its newest clothing collection fits that mold, with its recipe inspired by Vespa’s two-wheeled heritage and its pop culture. Now, at first glance there’s probably not too much in common between the new clothing range and the Italian brand’s scooters, but it’s less about visuals and more about the essence of the brand.

The new Al Vento collection, officially called Miscela Nostalgia (translates to mixed nostalgia), is a “contemporary reinterpretation of the era of Vespa rallies”, according to the company.

It goes on to say that “the garments in Miscela Nostalgia are designed to be lived in with the same carefree spirit that comes from riding a Vespa. The oversized jersey tops, with soft lines and generous volumes, feature graphics that jump out of a 1970s or 1980s photo album with technical codes, racing logos, vintage slogans, and nods to Vespa gatherings.”

The new collection features a cargo field jacket with a heavy abundance of patches which are positioned primarily on the back. The jacket can be complemented with cargo trousers or a cargo mini skirt. The collection also comprises a deep-blue denim cargo jacket, and a shearling jacket that’s embroidered with “Miscela Nostalgia”. A red sweater forms part of the collection, as does a white long sleeve shirt and a white T-shirt.

You can find out more information about the entire collection which includes a selection of patches, on the official Vespa website.
