Some 2025 KTM models are only now going into production
KTM’s production woes mean selected 2025 models are only now entering production.

Prior to restarting production at the end of July, KTM had hit pause on the development of new motorcycles twice due to its well-documented financial difficulties, which it says have now been steadied.
The delayed models include the KTM 990 RC R, which is set to begin production in October 2025. That’s also the case for the Austrian brand’s 1390 Super Adventure S, S Evo and R models.
KTM’s naked 990 Duke R will be up next as it's slated to enter production in November, while the 1390 Super Duke GT has been delayed until 2027, which let’s face it, is not a good sign.

All of these models were initially intended to be produced for the model year 2025, but despite getting back on its own two feet - thanks to help from the likes of Bajaj Auto - KTM is still feeling the effects of its tumultuous financial struggles which began towards the end of 2024.

That said, the delayed production of these models does not seem to be a concern for KTM, which says excitement around the new line-up “has been tremendous”.
In fact, KTM is also making bold remarks about its new line-up, saying “new standards in the motorcycle industry” will be made.
A statement from KTM CEO Gottfried Neumeister said:
“The excitement surrounding the new model lineup has been tremendous, especially after the announcements at EICMA and other national trade shows. By focusing on achieving complete readiness, we are confident that the new models will offer superior performance and innovative technology that will set new standards in the motorcycle industry. We can’t wait to bring these bikes to our riders soon.”
“We are committed to delivering the best possible experience for our riders. This decision ensures that every model will be fully ready to deliver on the high standards our customers expect.”
