Triumph has recorded its first MX2 clean sweep with the TF 250-X, with Guillem Farres setting the fastest time in qualifying before winning both races last Sunday.

The first-ever 1-1-1 result for the TF 250-X comes after the factory Triumph team already completed a historic double in May, when Farres and team-mate Camden McLellan completed a 1-2 for the Hinckley-based company in race two of the French round.

Thanks to his second clean sweep of the season, Farres has now closed the gap to just 27 points behind series leader Sacha Coenen, who rides for KTM. While Farres was the clear star of the show in Portugal, McLellan missed out on the podium, finishing with a fourth and fifth place across the two races.

Nine rounds still remain of this season, which has been a breakthrough year for the TF 250-X following its debut in the class in 2024. So far in 2026, the TF 250-X has achieved a total of nine wins, as well as three event wins.

Ian Kimber, Head of Global Racing Programmes at Triumph Motorcycles, said this about the team’s perfect weekend in Agueda, Portugal:

“To achieve a 1-1-1 perfect score in MX2 is something we basically dreamed of when we first started this project, and it’s important to celebrate this special moment. A huge congratulations to Guillem, who has made a massive step this year, and this result has put him in closer contention for the title fight; we couldn’t be prouder. Both riders have produced some exceptional results this year so far, and we are competing against manufacturers that have been racing in that series for decades.”

Guillem Farres also spoke after his 1-1-1 result, saying:

“It was an amazing weekend here in Portugal. To come away with a perfect 1-1-1 score is exactly what we were aiming for, so I’m really happy with how everything came together. I got two good starts on Sunday, which made a big difference, and from there I was able to manage both races, control my pace, and make smart decisions. The bike was working really well and I felt comfortable all weekend. A huge thank you to the team for all of their hard work. The goal now is to keep this momentum going and fight for results like this at every round.”
