Thief Tries To Fit Husqvarna Svartpilen in Car Boot, Fails Miserably
A Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 was the subject of an attempted theft by the driver of a Toyota Corolla, who failed spectacularly
A man in the United States has attempted to steal a Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, not by putting it into a concealed van, but instead by fitting the entire bike in the boot of his Toyota Corolla. And not even the estate version, at that.
As seen in this footage posted on Reddit, after having another person reverse the car towards the bike, the man attempts to pick up the Svartpilen 401 motorcycle on his own, only to have it fall on top of him. Disgruntled by his failed effort, the driver gets back in his car and leaves the motorcycle. In the video which can be seen in full below, the man starts by trying to pick up the Husqvarna bike from the left-hand side.
But he quickly falls to the ground with the bike sitting on top of him. The bike, which featured a smart Akrapovic exhaust, is a very compact motorcycle but trying to fit it in the boot of a mid-size car was clearly stupid. Pick-up trucks aside, you would be hard-pressed to find a car that can fit a motorcycle in it.
Even more bizarre was the fact that these wanna-be thieves attempted their failed act during broad daylight and in a car park with other vehicles around them. The man who attempted to lift the bike into the boot stood directly in front of the camera as he revealed himself, not only to be an idiot, but someone who can easily be identified.
Many motorcycles get stolen on a regular basis and just last year I fell victim myself. The emotions that followed when I saw my bike stolen went from anger, to confusion, to being utterly devastated, and I’m sure there are many who can relate.
Very few are lucky enough to get their bikes back once they have been stolen, but seeing a bike avoid this fate altogether like in this video is even better.
