Suzuki Confirms Price for New DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM Models
Suzuki has officially listed the UK prices for its iconic dual-sport models, which were unveiled at EICMA last year

Suzuki has announced its UK prices for the new DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM models. Both bikes were unveiled at EICMA in November, offering updated takes on the iconic DR-Z400 platform.
Fitting into the Japanese brand’s dual-sport range, the DR-Z4S will cost £7,999 which is the same OTR price as its supermoto stablemate, the DR-Z4SM.
Both machines feature a liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder DOHC four-stroke engine. The engine is an evolution of the previous generation power unit used by the DR-Z400.
Both bikes have the new twin-spar steel frame with a separate, bolt-on aluminium subframe and aluminium swingarm. The DR-Z4S is fitted with 21-inch (front) and 18-inch spoked wheels and long-travel suspension from KYB, with 280mm of fork travel and 296mm travel at the rear wheel.
The SM model is equipped with 17-inch wheels and features 260mm of front suspension travel, with 277mm travel at the rear. Three power modes and two standard traction control modes form part of the new electronics assembly. Traction control and rear ABS can be disengaged on the SM, whereas both rider aids can be completely disengaged on the S
Both bikes will land in dealerships later this summer.

Suzuki GB’s head of motorcycles, Jonathan Martin, said: “These may be spiritual successors to the DR-Z400S and DR-Z400SM, and they take everything that made those bikes so popular – such as their robustness and reliability – but they build on that foundation and reputation with a brand-new chassis and a new version of our 400cc single cylinder engine.
“Delivering superior levels of performance in their respective categories was our aim; for instance, ensuring the DR-Z4S is equipped with a suspension package that can take on the roughest of trails and will perform for an experienced rider off-road, while also remaining friendly for a newer rider. Engine capacity remains the same as the previous DR-Z models, but cumulative torque is improved, which in turn gives a linear throttle response and predictable power delivery, important for negotiating tougher trails or picking up the throttle out of corners on the track."

Both models will be offered with Suzuki’s standard three-year manufacturer warranty, as well as being eligible for Suzuki’s extended seven-year warranty.
