2020 Superstock Champion Chrissy Rouse graduates to 2022 BSB grid

Chrissy Rouse has announced he will graduate to the British Superbike Championship (BSB) grid for 2022 with the Crowe Performance team with which he secured the 2020 National Superstock Championship title.

The 26-year old last competed in the headline BSB class in 2018 after starting a handful of races with Halsall Racing on Suzuki machinery before injury sidelined him.

Switching to the Superstock 1000 ranks, it was a last minute deal to join Crowe Performance in 2020 that led to Rouse securing the title over Tom Neave, another rider stepping  up to BSB in 2022 with Honda.

After failing to defend his title in 2021 following a move to Stauff Kawasaki, Rouse is back with Crowe Performance for his 2022 BSB tilt on a BMW M 1000 RR.

“We are going to be running a very similar set-up to what we had in 2020, with our own team running a Crowe Performance BMW. I know it is going to be a huge commitment but I’m really excited and both mine and the team’s aim this year is to just get stuck in and do our best.

“I’m under no illusions and know this is going to be a massive step-up for all of us. We have lots of things still to get sorted out before the first round but I’m confident we are in a good position.

“Although we don’t have a title sponsor, we have a consortium of loyal original personal sponsors along with some new partners coming on board, more of which we plan to reveal in the coming weeks."

Rouse is the 29th rider confirmed to the 2022 BSB grid.
