Tucano Urbano T.ur range gains the J-Zero laminated jacket

The new adventure riding jacket includes a D3O armour, laminated construction and clean lines

THE Tucano Urbano T.ur range now includes a jacket featuring D3O’s LP2 Pro armour – with T.ur range being one of the first to use the new tech in a motorcycle jacket.

The new J-Zero is CE rated to the AA standard and features a modular 2-level protection system with a CE-certified, laminated outer shell and hyperthermal padded inner jacket that can be worn separately. Not only does the product feature D3O LP2 Pro elbow and shoulder armour as standard, it also has pockets for CP1 D3O CE protectors on the chest, and an Aero 3D mesh pocket to fit the D3O VIPER PRO CE back protector.

For year-round comfort, the J-Zero also includes a tri-vent design to the armour, which allows air to flow from the body away through the D3O armour.

The outer shell of the jacket is constructed from Oxford 600 Cordura fabric covering the shoulders and sleeves for maximum abrasion resistance. The rest of the outer is a lightweight Oxford 300 Polymide which covers the inner sleeves and chest.

Rachel Fuller, UK Country Manager of Tucano Urbano, said: “D3O is the most premium motorcycle armour brand in the market, so we’re really pleased that they chose to work alongside T.ur as a brand that holds high standards close to heart. Partnering with D3O is the perfect opportunity to highlight our modern approach to safety throughout the T.ur collection – the collaboration is a superb technical partnership that we are very proud of.”
