Peter Hickman confirms first road race since BSB exit
Peter Hickman will join the likes of Michael Dunlop and Dean Harrison at next month’s Southern 100 races.

The 2026 Southern 100 is gearing up for one of its most star-studded line-ups ever at the Isle of Man, with Michael Dunlop, Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman all confirmed.
For Hickman, this is his first confirmed road race since withdrawing from the remainder of the BSB campaign. While Hickman’s decision to withdraw from BSB came as a surprise, the TT legend will continue racing at ‘selected events’ on the same machinery he races on the roads.
Hickman, who secured four podiums, including two runner-up finishes at this year’s TT, will contest the Superbike and Supersport classes at the Southern 100 in July.

In the Superbike class, Hickman is set to race his Monster Energy BMW Motorrad by 8TEN Racing M1000 RR machine. Hickman’s Southern 100 debut means he will also ride the 4.250-mile Billown Course for the first time, which starts between Castletown Corner and Ballakeighan.
Speaking ahead of his Southern 100 debut, Hickman said:
“I’m really excited to be competing in my first ever Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races and learning the Motor Isle Billown Course. The longer the season goes on, the fitter and stronger I'm feeling.
“The Monster Energy BMW Motorrad by 8TEN Racing BMW M1000RR was performing really well at the TT, so I'm looking forward to riding that again. I am sure the Swan Racing by PHR Performance Supersport bike will be great fun around the fast and flowing 4.25-mile course.”
Bringing 57 TT wins between them to the short Isle of Man track, Dunlop (36 TT wins), Hickman (14 TT wins), and Harrison (seven TT wins) will also be joined by the likes of Mike Browne, Rob Hodson, Dominic Herbertson, Jamie Coward, and Paul Jordan.

The 2026 Southern 100 Road Races event takes place from Monday, July 6, to Thursday, July 9.
