New QJMotor COV 125 models "redefine" 125cc category
QJMotor has introduced two new enduro-style 125cc bikes with the COV 125 S and COV 125 X.

Two new bikes have been announced by QJMotor with the COV 125 S and COV 125 X both being introduced to the A1 licence class.
QJMotor says the new models arrive in the 125cc class “to redefine what riders can expect from a learner-legal motorcycle,” which is certainly a bold claim. So, what can A1 licence holders expect from the two new 125s?

Both bikes feature the same liquid-cooled 125cc four-valve engine which produces the 11kW, or 14.7bhp, that A1 licence holders are limited to. They both also get the same 43mm upside-down front fork, dual-channel ABS from Bosch, a single 320mm front brake disc, and a 220mm rear disc.
Despite these similarities, there is a reason for the slight difference in the bikes’ names.
The COV 125 X is the enduro variant, while the S is the ‘supermoto’ version.
What that means in terms of specifications is that, while the X comes with 310mm of ground clearance, a 920mm seat height, and rolls on 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wheels, the S gets 17-inch wheels at both ends which results in a slightly lower ride height and seat height at 860mm for the latter.

The tyres are different, too, of course, with the X getting CST dual-purpose tyres while the S gets road-focused tyres, also from CST.
On both models, the rider gets an LCD display which “provides all essential information at a glance,” QJMotor says, as well as all-around LED lighting. There’s also a Fat Bar handlebar from Renthal which comes with integrated handguards that feature QJMotor branding.
Prices start at £2,799 for the COV 125 S, while the X comes in at £2,999. Both prices exclude on the road charges.
