THE Yamaha Ténéré 700 online ordering system is open for business this week, with bikes beginning to land at their new owners in July. Early bird discounts are also applying to those first in the queue – so get clicking if a Ténéré is on your wish list!

To order, head to https://tenere700.yamaha-motor.eu/en-GB/registration and follow the instructions on the screen.

The initial batch of bikes will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at the exclusive online price of £8399 (normally £8699) excluding on the road charges.

Firing into a melting pot of mid-weight metal, the Ténéré will be going toe-to-toe with the new kids on the block, the KTM 790 Adventure and Moto Guzzi’s V85 TT, and the more established metal like the Triumph Tiger 800 and the BMW F850GS. It’s also worth noting that few of those bikes evoke the same nostalgic feeling that the Ténéré name does.

Built around an all-new frame and the reliable, exciting but accessible 689cc, parallel twin from the MT07 and Tracer 700. The bike gets adventure spec USD front forks with 210mm of travel and 200mm at the rear. The big win for the Tén’ is its weight – at 205kg (ready to ride) it’s one of the lightest mid-weight adventure tools in the pack. And nearly 35kg lighter than the F850GS Adventure.

Check out our video below from the EICMA show when the bike was unveiled:
