Yamaha reveals test ride scheme with £10,000 prize
Fancy riding a Yamaha motorcycle of your choice, and winning £10,000? Well, that’s now possible thanks to a new scheme from the Japanese company.

Yamaha is offering customers the chance to test ride any road-going motorcycle from its range and win £10,000, although the test ride must be completed by August 31.
This means models from its hyper naked, sport-touring, adventure, sport heritage and supersport line-ups are available, as are Y-AMT-equipped machines. Yamaha also says there is “no limit to the number of test rides you can take which will count towards entering the prize draws”.
To enter the competition, all customers need to do is test ride one of the brand’s motorcycles as you will be entered automatically.

This is a particularly interesting scheme as winning £10,000 could either save customers a lot of money off their new machine, or in some instances, help pay for the bike entirely.
From the supersport range, the £10,000 would cover the R125 (£5,501), R3 (£6,654), and the R7 (£9,504), while leaving you with money left over.

Three models all sit beneath the £10,000 mark in Yamaha’s hyper naked range, including the MT-125, MT-03 and MT-07, while the MT-09 is priced at £10,364.
Only one model sits below the £10,000 barrier from Yamaha’s sport-touring range, which is the Tracer 7 model. The standard six-speed manual transmission model is currently available for £8,908, while the Y-AMT-equipped version is priced at £9,258.

With regards to the adventure range, all four of Yamaha’ middleweight machines, including the standard Ténéré 700, Ténéré 700 (Lowered Version), Ténéré 700 Rally and Ténéré 700 World Raid are all priced beyond the £10,000 mark.

That’s also true for the company’s ‘big bike’ options from its sport heritage range, which features the XSR900 and XSR900 GP.
