2013 Harleys: Metal-flake is back!

2013 hits 1969...

FORGET toned-down, matt-black customs, subtle aluminium finishes and tatty exhaust wrap – Harley is bringing back the era of wild paint and blinding chrome.

The lack of significant new models for 2013 might be disappointing, but Harley's decision to bring back the sort of metal-flake paint associated with the late 60s and early 70s is an interesting departure from the stripped-back, bad-to-the-bone customs that have been in vogue for the last few years.

Harley will make the metalflake available on the Seventy-Two, Street Bob, Blackline, Softail and Forty-Eight models. There will also be two-tone sets and fuels tanks from the 'Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories Color Shop' for the Sportster, Dyna, Softail and Touring models.
