Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak gets MotoGP-inspired makeover
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak gets a new livery, inspired by the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R, plus more Factory Made options.
Ducati has given its brutal Multistrada Pikes Peak a makeover for 2027, as the 167bhp ADV gains a new livery inspired by the company’s MotoGP and World Superbike racing machines.
Created by Ducati Centro Stile in collaboration with Drudi Performance, the new paint scheme takes cues from the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R used by Ducati’s factory teams. It is intended to make the Pikes Peak’s sporting credentials rather more obvious – as if that wasn’t already the case.
The Pikes Peak is essentially Ducati’s sports bike interpretation of the Multistrada formula. It gets a 17-inch front wheel rather than the 19-inch wheel found on the regular V4, a single-sided swingarm, forged aluminium wheels, Öhlins semi-active suspension and a more committed riding position. The only way you can go faster on a Multi’ is by opting for the even more bonkers Panigale V4-powered Multistrada V4 RS.

The 2027 bike retains the 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine, producing 167bhp at 10,750rpm and 123.8Nm (91.3 lb ft) at 9,000rpm. Ducati also carried over its counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from its MotoGP project.
The bike rolls on five-spoke forged aluminium wheels wearing Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, measuring 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear. Suspension comes from Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active units, with 170mm of travel at both ends. On that front, there isn’t much new hardware that isn’t found on the previous model.
There is a fair bit of carbon fibre, including the front mudguard and beak, while a road-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer adds another visual and mechanical nod towards Ducati's racing machinery. Other Pikes Peak-specific touches include gold-anodised Öhlins fork sliders, a smoked screen, a V4-branded seat and Ducati Corse badging on the beak.
The riding position is different from the standard Multistrada V4, thanks to footpegs that sit higher and further back to give the rider more cornering clearance and make it easier to move around the bike. The handlebars are also lower, narrower and flatter.
Ducati has also given the Pikes Peak its own Race Riding Mode, with a different rev-limiter strategy designed to make high-rpm gear changes easier. The quickshifter gets its own new calibration, including more aggressive downshifts, while the High Power Mode sharpens the throttle response.
The Öhlins suspension uses Ducati's 'event-based' control system, adjusting its behaviour according to what the bike is doing rather than simply reacting to basic suspension inputs. The braking system also uses Ducati's Electronic Combined Braking System, which can add rear brake pressure when the rider uses the front brake.
The rest of the electronics package remains extensive, with Bosch IMU-assisted cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, vehicle hold control and five riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet. The Pikes Peak also gets front and rear radar as standard, providing Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, along with Forward Collision Warning.
Factory Made
The new livery is only part of the personalisation available to 2027 Pikes Peak buyers. Ducati's Factory Made programme allows customers to configure the bike with a selection of factory-fitted options, including red forged wheels with matching red or black brake calipers.
There are also different seat heights, additional carbon-fibre components, auxiliary lights and a full luggage setup with panniers and top box.
That means buyers can take the Pikes Peak further towards either end of its personality: a sharper-looking sports crossover or a more practical long-distance machine.
Despite its focus on sporty riding, Ducati has not forgotten the touring side of the Multistrada. The V4 Granturismo has a 60,000km valve-clearance inspection interval, while Ducati's 4EVER programme provides a four-year unlimited-mileage warranty. Roadside assistance is also included.
The 2027 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is already available from European Ducati dealers, with the new specification and Factory Made options available through Ducati's online configurator. Pricing as yet is TBC.
