Mash goes sporty with Jedi-derived K750 sports bike

Mash, best known for its retro cafe racer and scrambler motorcycles, is switching things up with the unveiling of a new sports bike.

The French bike maker Mash Motorcycles has announced a range of new models already in 2025, including the racy-looking K750 sports bike, which is set to land in Europe very soon.

The K750 is, given how different it is from the brand’s existing modern classic offerings, probably the most interesting of the bunch. Although it is not a ground-up design from Mash, and is instead based on a bike we reported on at Visordown way back in 2021, the Jedi K750.

At the heart of the K750 is a 730cc inline twin-cylinder, DOHC engine that produces 73bhp and 50lb ft of torque. While those numbers won’t be troubling the upper end of the sports bike world, it does put the Mash in the mix with the more road-biased sports bikes on the market - think Kawasaki ZX-4R and the Yamaha R7.

The chassis of the bike seems fairly well specced, too, with Brembo supplying the braking system, KYB sorting the suspension, and Bosch bringing its two-channel ABS technology to the table. It also, and this is a trick that some manufacturers can’t get right, looks like a premium product, with its single-sided swingarm, multi-spoke wheels and swooping bodywork giving the Chinese-designed bike a European look to it. It’s even shod with decent rubber, thanks to Michelin and its Power 5 hoops.

Pricing for the new bike is also competitive, with the K750 landing in France with a €6,899 (£6,000) pricetag swinging from the handlebar. That puts it around £2,500 less than Kawasaki’s ZX-4R Ninja and nearly £3,000 less than Yamaha’s R7.

The new Mash K750 follows another Jedi-derived model from the French brand, after the FR750 was announced earlier this year. While the K750 and FR750 only show as new models on the French Mash website, they will probably find their way into the UK range at some point in the future.
