Vespa outdoes itself with the new 946 Horse
Vespa has just rolled out its fourth 946 model in celebration of its Lunar Collection

Vespa has revealed its latest 946 scooter creation, which arrives in the form of a limited-edition Horse model that “celebrates the free spirit of the Horse zodiac sign”.
It was around this time last year that Vespa unveiled the new limited-edition 946 Snake scooter, as it paid homage to the Lunar Calendar’s Year of the Snake celebration. Fast forward a year, and Vespa is now celebrating the Year of the Horse.
For those that don’t know, the Year of the Horse signifies the seventh sign in the Chinese Zodiac, which comes after the Snake.
Coming straight from the horse's mouth (no pun intended), Vespa says the new 946 Horse is “born from the energy of the Year of the Horse. This iconic creature carries a quiet strength and a luminous intensity. Vespa 946 Horse embodies that spirit in a numbered limited edition: a true collector’s piece where craftsmanship meets contemporary vision”.

This is the fourth 946 model to pay homage to the Lunar Calendar, with Vespa having previously revealed Bunny and Dragon editions.
The new limited-edition 946 Horse features a 125cc single-cylinder engine, dual-channel ABS, and a five-position preload adjustable rear suspension.
As well as the new model, Vespa has also revealed new products as part of In Sella, which becomes the third series in the Al Vento apparel collection.
For 2026 it carries a navy blue theme, with the new collection featuring a heavy dose of knitwear, such as sweaters, vests, and cable-knit cardigans. A helmet in the same glossy dark brown as the 946 Horse has also been revealed by the Italian company.
The new model is expected to arrive sometime in May 2026.
