BSB will either crown a three-time champion, or a two-time champion, as Kyle Ryde and Scott Redding get set for today’s decider at Brands Hatch.

Both Ryde and Redding have been the stars of 2026 when it comes to BSB, combining for 23 out of a possible 30 race wins.

Ryde, who is the current two-time defending BSB champion, looked set to win his third title during Saturday’s Race 1, before Redding stormed through from 11th on the grid to claim victory.

However, Redding still faces an uphill battle to win the championship today, which would be his second after winning the championship in 2019.

Ryde holds a comfortable advantage of 48 points, meaning Redding needs to win both races to realistically have a chance.

But with Ryde having rarely finished outside the podium places in 2026, Redding will likely need to rely on mistakes from his fellow Ducati Panigale V4 R competitor.

That being said, we’ve seen stranger things happen in racing, while Redding certainly has enough pace to win both races.

Something that could help Redding’s cause is the traditional points increase for the final round of the season. 35 points will be handed out to the winning rider in Race 3, which takes place later today following the 12-lap sprint at 1pm.

That was also the case during Saturday’s Race 1, which helped keep Redding in the title fight.

If today’s decider does go the way of Ryde, the 29-year-old will become the first rider to win three titles consecutively since BSB legend, Niall Mackenzie.

Mackenzie achieved his three-straight BSB title wins from 1996 to 1998, which is something not even Shane ‘Shakey’ Bryne managed, despite ending his career with six BSB championships.
