Former Royal Enfield President Passes Away at 46
Former Royal Enfield President, Rudratej Singh has passed away this week aged just 46-years-old
THE man how steered Royal Enfield in recent years has sadly passed away this week after suffering what was reported to be cardiac arrest.
Rudratej Singh helped to steer the company while it produced some of its biggest and most popular models including the single-cylinder Continental GT and the firm’s latest 650 twin-cylinder machines.
Singh was at the helm of Royal Enfield for a period of four years, a time that saw him take the company from relative bit-player in the motorcycle world to a globally acclaimed motorcycle maker, exporting bikes across the world.
After his time at Royal Enfield, Singh went on to take over at BMW Group India where he became president and chief executive officer, a position he held for just under a year.
Since his passing, BMW Group India has released this statement:
“BMW Group India, with profound sorrow, announces the demise of Rudratej Singh (46), President and Chief Executive Officer on April 20. The cause behind the sudden and unexpected demise is yet to be ascertained. Our prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult period.
