Clear visibility is essential when undertaking maintenance tasks on your bike. 

And while decent, fixed wall or ceiling lighting is a great start there can still be fiddly or awkward jobs where you would benefit from a quality, portable work light. 

The Clarke PL5R Slim Pocket LED Work Light/Torch with Swivel Head and Charging Kit, as available from Machine Mart currently for just £25.19, is exactly that – and has even been recognised as such as an Auto Express award winner with a 5/5 review. 

Its designed specifically for home mechanic or workshop use so has a series of benefits using your iPhone can’t match. Small, compact and light it easily fits in your pocket. Its head can be flipped or rotated up to 180 degrees so you can illuminate those hard to get at places. There is both a magnetic base and a swivel clip so you can secure it in place leaving both hands free for the task you’re working on.
