Prutton, a former Premier League and Championship midfielder, and Thomas, a former Commonwealth 4 x 400 metres champion, both have a shared “love of biking”, and are looking to share that across a planned eight initial episodes. The story starts on 24 April, with fellow petrolhead and biker, celebrity chef Paul Ainsworth featuring on the show.

For those of you who attended Motorcycle Live last November, you may remember the pair taking to the Black Horse Stage for a pilot episode of the podcast in front of a live audience - then joined by Radio One star ‘Comedy’ Dave Vitty. That pilot received enough positive reviews that the insurance company Bikesure has taken on the endeavour.

As mentioned, they will initially be looking to create eight episodes of the show, which will be available to listen to on Spotify, Audioboom, Facebook, and Apple. Each episode will also be filmed and available to watch on YouTube or on Bikesure’s website and Facebook page.

Speaking about the news, Team GB hero Thomas said:

“I really can’t wait for this podcast to start so we can talk about all things bikes with like-minded people all sharing the same passion.

“Every week we find out why motorbiking is so important to our wonderful guests. For me, the best thing about biking is simply the freedom you feel when out on the open road. It’s been part of my life for as long as I remember and hopefully always will be.”
