A Harley-Davidson Fat Boy… but not as you know it

This 'Harley-Davidson Fat Boy' started life as something considerably humbler... watch how this remarkable transformation happened

Harley Davidson Fat Boy - Royal Enfield Bullet

We love a good custom mash up here at Visordown and while some are more convincing than others, we have to admit we’re impressed with this Harley-Davidson Fat Boy which does a very good job of disguising its true origins.

Courtesy of India’s Bittoo Bike Modification, this may look like a Fat Boy on outside but beneath it are humbler Royal Enfield Bullet mechanicals.

OK, so trained eyes will be able to spot that this isn’t a Milwaukee original but get over that and you have to admit there is something decent attention to detail being paid here to create a leaner, no doubt greener Fat Boy.

The transformative parts have been handcrafted for the customer and an upgraded exhaust even helps the more modest Bullet engine (500 or 350cc) sound the part at least. Of course, there is only so much you can do with a single-cylinder unit to match the 1745cc and 65hp pumped out by the H-D but so long as you don’t look too hard as it cruises past, some may well be fooled into thinking it’s the real deal.

After all, at 20 lakh (around £21,000 in sterling) why not think outside the box to get the look without forking out the dough.

Bittoo Bike Modification have been at this before in fact after creating the ultimate beast of a motorcycle – a Suzuki Hayabusa – using a Bajaj Dominar 400 (pictured on top) as a base. We have to admit, without the benefit of scale, it’s pretty convincing!
