We’ve already seen other major manufacturers confirm award wins so far in 2026, starting with Honda and its electric WN7 which backed up its iF Design honour with an award win in the Red Dot product design category. That was followed by Suzuki’s GSX-8T and GSX-8TT also winning a Red Dot Award in the same category.

The award win for the new Monster is quite an impressive feat, after all, it only began arriving in dealerships earlier this year.

The new Monster was one of Ducati’s big highlights from its EICMA 2025 line-up, not least because of the above-mentioned 890cc V2 engine, which features IVT (Intake Variable Timing).

The new V-twin power unit produces 109.4 bhp and 67.1lb-ft of torque, with 70 per cent claimed to be available from just 3,000rpm, and 80 per cent between 4,000 and 10,000rpm.

Suspension comes via a non-adjustable 43mm Showa fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock also from Showa. Stopping power is handled by Brembo M4.32 calipers that bite down on 320mm discs up front, while a 245mm disc is paired with a two-piston caliper at the rear. Cornering ABS is found at both ends of the bike.

Since arriving in dealers, the 2026 Monster V2 has already received a new Sport Livery which was made available in April. It means that customers can choose between three colourways including the Ducati Red and Iceberg White options.

Speaking about its prestigious award win, Ducati said:

“This award highlights our commitment to creating bikes that both push the boundaries of engineering and of the art of design itself.”
