Brembo’s new track monitoring system TrackTribe wins Red Dot award

A new data monitoring system, not a new brake caliper, is responsible for helping Brembo win its latest Red Dot award.

Brembo has just won its fourth Red Dot award thanks to its TrackTribe monitoring system that was unveiled in 2025.

The Italian company picked up the award from an independent jury of around 40 international experts, who were there to evaluate key areas, including functionality, aesthetic quality, ease of use and responsibility, sustainability and durability.

Brembo says “particular attention has been paid to the design of the interface and user experience, to ensure ease of use and accessibility to an increasingly wide audience”.

Winning this award is an important achievement for Brembo, as its three previous Red Dot awards were all won by different braking systems, including the 19RCS Corse Corta radial brake master cylinder, the 19RCS Corse Corta RR - Race Replica, and most recently, the GP4 MotoGP brake caliper.

Brembo revealed the new track monitoring system at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, last November, which is designed to offer clear and concise data feedback. The new innovation means riders taking part in trackdays can monitor and analyse their performance during each individual riding session.

The app-based datalogging software operates via a six-axis IMU system, allowing data to be relayed back to your smartphone or tablet. It also feeds off your motorcycle’s built-in battery, as well as measuring key details such as lap times, braking pressure and lean angle via a pressure sensor.

To help build the system, Brembo used the expertise of former MotoGP race winner Andrea Dovizioso, who performed testing on track.

Dovizioso is one of the most established MotoGP riders of the last two decades, finishing three times a runner-up to Marc Marquez while riding for the factory Ducati team. Dovizioso ended his full-time MotoGP career at the end of the 2022 season, when he competed for the RNF Yamaha squad.
