The British Motorcyclists Federation has launched a nationwide rider survey to help shape its future campaigning, with one respondent set to win a £200 SportsBikeShop voucher.

The British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) has launched a new nationwide survey aimed at finding out what really matters to Britain's motorcyclists, and the results will help shape the organisation's future campaigning and lobbying work. As an added incentive, everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £200 SportsBikeShop voucher.
According to the BMF, the survey is open to all riders, regardless of whether they commute, tour, race, ride off-road or simply head out for the occasional Sunday blast. It wants to build a clearer picture of the bikes people ride, why they ride them, the biggest challenges they face and what they expect organisations representing motorcyclists to focus on in the years ahead.
It's no secret that motorcycling in the UK faces plenty of challenges. Rising theft, increasing insurance premiums, uncertainty around licensing reform, growing environmental legislation and the constant battle for better road maintenance have all dominated headlines over the past few years. While government consultations often seek public opinion, rider organisations also rely on real-world feedback to strengthen their case when speaking to policymakers.
The BMF says the survey should only take a few minutes to complete, but the information gathered will help ensure its future work reflects the priorities of today's riders, rather than rely on assumptions about what bikers want. The federation has represented UK riders for more than six decades and says understanding the views of both existing members and the wider riding community is essential if it is to continue campaigning effectively.
