Budget-friendly LS2 Rapid III helmet updated
LS2 has revealed an updated version of its budget-friendly Rapid III helmet for 2026.

Helmet maker LS2 has given its Rapid III model a more aero-balanced look for 2026, and weight savings.
Starting with the new aero feature, LS2 says the UK’s best-selling entry-level full-face lid is now more stable thanks to its rear spoiler.

Specifically, LS2 says it “improves airflow and increases stability at higher speeds – a feature typically reserved for significantly more expensive helmets”.
That last point is an important one to remember, because the helmet is now more advanced compared to its predecessor, but it achieves this while retaining a very affordable price.
The new LS2 Rapid III is available for just £59,99 in all solid colours, which includes Matt and Glossy Black, White and Titanium. If you opt for one of the company’s flashier design options, then the price rises to £69,99.

The helmet has also been made lighter as part of its big update for 2026, as it now weighs just 1350 grams.
In terms of safety, the new Rapid III uses a High Pressure Thermoplastic Technology (HPTT) shell and it is fully homologated to ECE 22.06 standards.
The helmet’s Micrometric Buckle delivers “quick, secure fastening, while the Reinforced Chin Strap with Metal Security Plate provides peace of mind in the event of an accident”, according to LS2.
Ventilation is handled by LS2’s Dynamic Flow-Through system, which pushes fresh air through the helmet even in changing conditions.
The inner liner is washable and claims to wick moisture away, as well as being hypoallergenic and antibacterial. Keen to suit a variety of head sizes, the new lid ranges from XS to XXXL.
