Insta360 reveals new motorcycle action camera

Insta360 has announced a new partnership with SuperMotocross and Australian riders Jett and Hunter Lawrence. But the new Ace Pro 2 action camera is for all types of motorcycle riders.

When you hear SuperMotocross, and names like Jett and Hunter Lawrence, you’d be forgiven for thinking this action camera was specifically designed for generating off-road content. 

But that’s not the case as Insta360 claims the new bundle, which uses the brand’s flagship 8K AI-powered system, is the perfect camera whether you’re riding trails or out on a long road trip. 

According to Insta360, the Ace Pro 2 features a 1/1.3-inch sensor, 157-degree Leica Summarit lens, and a dual AI chip system “to create silky, cinematic 4K60fps video - even in low-light thanks to PureVideo Mode”.

The action camera’s battery has a life of 180 minutes, while Insta360 claims it can be charged up to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes. 

As part of the bundle riders will get the Ace Pro 2 camera, a battery, Flexible Adhesive Mounts and a Helmet Chin Mount 2.0. A Lens Guard, and 128GB microSD card, are also included. 

The Helmet Chin Mount 2.0 is compatible with most helmet types, while the Flexible Adhesive Mounts will allow you to position the camera on your bike if you’re looking to produce different types of action shots.  

The bundle comes with a retail price of $509.99 (around £383), however, it’s currently available for $419,99 (£315) as part of Insta360’s Holiday Sale.
