215 hp Bimota KB998 Rimini Elite sold out in just 10 days
Despite its near €100,000 price tag, the new Bimota KB998 Rimini Elite superbike has already sold out.

If you wanted a track bike with WorldSBK technology that’s built by proven racing specialists, the Bimota KB998 Rimini Elite is not for you, at least not right now, as it’s already sold out.
Bimota revealed the new bike last month with an eye-catching price tag of €99,800, which converts to around £86,000. The 215 hp superbike was also made available in just five units worldwide, therefore, interested customers were going to need to act fast. And that proved to be true, as the new model sold out in just 10 days.
The Rimini Elite produces 15hp more than the standard KB998 Rimini, which represents a power increase of 7.5 per cent. The limited-edition model was also put on a strict diet as 16.7kg was trimmed from its overall weight.
The bike made its public debut during the Dutch WorldSBK round at the TT Assen Circuit, where Provec Racing presented the KB998 Rimini Elite to media and fans. Bimota’s WorldSBK riders Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani also attended the event.

Development of the KB998 Rimini Elite featured a dedicated testing programme featuring BbKRT development rider Xavi Forés. It also made a wildcard appearance with former MotoGP rider Tito Rabat in the Spanish Superbike Championship.
Biel Roda, Marketing Manager of the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, said this about the interest in the new model:
“Within hours of announcing the KB998 Rimini Elite at the Assen WorldSBK round, we began receiving emails and social media enquiries from interested customers.
“The KB998 Rimini Elite, developed under the leadership of our Technical Manager, Alvar Garriga, together with BbKRT’s technical partners, has been an immediate success among motorcycle enthusiasts and specialist collectors alike. We are extremely pleased with this outcome, and I am confident the five fortunate owners will be as well.”
