This Honda VFR800 Fi gets transformed into a Mick Doohan race replica
This 1998 Honda VFR800 Fi has been transformed into a Mick Doohan replica that’s appeared in Spain and is said to be road legal.

Ever wanted to ride a road legal bike from the 1990s, all the while looking like racing legend Mick Doohan? Well, that appears to be possible thanks to this transformed Honda VFR800 Fi.
Doohan dominated the world of 500cc racing in the 1990s, winning five championships with Honda on an NSR500 bike. But his famous racing colours from that era have now been transferred to a VFR800 Fi, which has appeared in Spain.
And it could be yours, but only if you have €11,990 (approximately £10,400) ready to burn - and you don’t mind schlepping back from Spain! The resemblance to Doohan’s NSR500 is very impressive, with the bright orange wheels, big number one logo at the rear and Aussie flags all added.
The bike is finished with a full replica Repsol livery, which is a livery no longer seen on Honda’s factory MotoGP bikes. The two companies split in 2024 after a 30-year partnership.

Beyond the painted wheels, decals, and the rear section, which includes an Arrow exhaust, lighting has been updated with full LED components. Cleverly mounted inside the bodywork, the LED lighting features integrated turn signals.
The bike is fully street-legal, according to the seller, and it has a valid MOT until 2027. So while it may look like a collector's item, it could also serve as your weekend ride.
With the bike being a 1998 model, knowing the bike’s mileage would be an important factor in buying this bike, particularly if you wanted to ride it. However, that information has not been disclosed. The listing also says the bike will only be sold in person. More details can be found by contacting the seller.
