LiveWire has confirmed riders in the US can now complete motorcycle training on one of two electric motorcycles in its range.

The two motorcycles available for training purposes include the S2 Mulholland and the S2 Alpinista, both of which are sold in the UK.

The training can be carried out with Bartels’ Riding Academy in Marina del Rey, California. It serves as an alternative to those wanting to learn on clutch-operated Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Not stopping there, LiveWire is aiming to expand its electric motorcycle training programme across the US.

Riders taking part in the training programme will complete three sessions, with the first of those centred around learning the basics about motorcycles and road rules.

From there, sessions two and three will see riders throw a leg over the S2 Mulholland or S2 Alpinista as part of specially designed training.

"This partnership is about breaking down barriers and empowering the next generation of riders,” said Kraim Donnez, CEO of LiveWire. “By integrating LiveWire motorcycles into rider training, Bartels’ is redefining what it means to learn to ride—making it more accessible, more intuitive, and better aligned with the future of motorcycling.”

The new training programme from LiveWire is likely to be something adopted around the world in the coming years, as the EV segment continues to be on the rise.
