Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail (FLSTI) review

Reintroduced in to the 2006 line-up after an absence of almost six years. Hardtail styling on a Softail platform.
Style, quick release pillion pad, attachment for Heritage bags
Brakes are not the best in the world

Not tested

The Heritage Softail has been reintroduced by Harley due to customer demand. As the base model it doesn't receive any of the glittery add-ons that come as standard on the more expensive Heritage Softail Classic, but it does provide the perfect base from which to personalise to your own required tastes.

The revival of the Heritage is out of respect for the model that launched the incredibly popular Softail range back in 1986. Without this motorcycle we would never have had the Fat Boy.

The pillion seat pad can be removed in seconds to leave you with a cool-looking solo ride that looks as if it has been propelled forwards from the fifties - all fat and flowing lines lovingly crafted round that thud-thudding motor bedecked in chrome.
