Overall Review

I own 2 Le Mans, it doesnt take much to get them to the 100 Bhp mark which is more than enough in the real world and in standard trim they can lope along at a Ton all day with out breaking sweat, you can work on them yourself ,shaft drive is great and you will never park one in your garage without a final look back before you switch the light out ! A true Italian Stallion !

Strengths

Superb paint finish,Great handling and road holding,Top notch suspension and brakes, built like a Battleship,a Quality motorcycle without doubt with a big Heart and loads of Character

Weaknesses

The bike can benefit from a power commander for lower rpm smoothness in town

Overall Review

Stands out in the crowd - like any true classic. While nobody gives a second glance at the bland and sterile looking 300kph Japanese street missiles the Guzzi draws people of all ages, both sexes to ogle and ask about it. Handling, as you would expect with the top shelf componentry is very controlled and the ability to easily and effortlessly change line in a corner contradicts the weight of the beast. Once moving this bike feels much lighter than is true.

Strengths

Classic cafe racer lines, bulletproof transverse V-twin at the heart of this Italian passion machine. If peak horsepower and ridiculous top speeds are the measure of how good a bike is then Kawasaki should take their ZX14 out to a full two litres. Guzzi provides a satisfying ride - not one frustrated by the inability of roads to provide a venue for warp speeds. If ton up sport cruising is not enough then maybe you should be strutting your stuff on the track. This is a bike which is truly satisfying in real road situations even if it is less than ideal for track days.

Weaknesses

Slightly abrupt driveline at around city speeds. Switchgear which could be a bit more user friendly and some slight glitches in the quality control. The lack of dealer backup is worrying if a problem occurs.
