Overall Review
I highly recommend this bike for the consumer that will spend time at the track and enjoy the occasional mountain carving runs. This isn't a bike for the average rider or for the daily commuter. Keep in mind its a race bike for the streets.
Strengths
Incredibly agile, lightweight, great horse power, amazing torque, great technology package, riding modes extremely helpful, fully adjustable riding settings, awesome track bike, and great styling.
Weaknesses
Not a bike to sit in traffic, can get extremely hot under the seat, front fork spring will need to be fitted with a bigger spring unless you are Italian and weight 165 pounds or less, and needs a better steering stabilizer than stock.
absolutely love it, and don't see myself parting with for some time!
Strengths
the feeling I get riding the bike, even after owning for over a year, no previous bike has given me that feeling or smiles-per-mile!
The positive feedback and comments the bike gets at petrol stations and traffic lights!
Weaknesses
tank range is a bit limiting, with the reserve light coming on at around 80miles.
in-town in-traffic fuelling and gearing is not the best, massively improved by changing sprockets and a remap.

Overall Review
A really inspiring bike to ride, very flattering on the track (which is where it really belongs) it's not flawless though, a few issues with build quality that you just wouldn't accept from a Japanese or German bike. Drop dead good looks means it's just as much at home in the living room too. The engine, noise, vibration, inferno like heat - only the Italians could literally bolt on wheels to an engine like this and get away with it. It's one very angry bike and makes you feel alive like no other can. There isn't a lot of options if you're looking for a performance European bike at this level - if you are looking for performance and character then this is it. If planet power and lower lap times is the go - S1000 RR
Strengths
More power than you can possibly use on the road, Great looks, sounds great and razor sharp handling. Electronic rider aids allow you to break hard to the apex and accelerate out just as hard at full lean banging up the gears with the quick shift. Seamless electronic assistance makes the average track day hero faster, safer and you have more fun doing it. An uncompromising track bike with remarkably good manners on the road.
Weaknesses
Frankly disappointed with the ducati corse race exhaust, had to spend a further cash to fix the gaping hole in midrange power and torque. Heat is a bit of an issue as is the slippery pegs and seat. I don't really notice them anymore. Did expect a bit more low range shove and found the power curve so steep around 7000 rpm that it made the front wheel lift a lot. Would have expected anti wheelie as well as anti rear lift control. Very, very heavy on tyres - didn't get a full day at phillip island on the rear. Build quality is a bit light, still smokes more than it should.

I adore this bike, it's a work of art. However if I was a more sensible man, I'd have got the s1000rr, but thankfully, I'm not.
Strengths
Gorgeous looks More than enough power Much better than you'll be
Weaknesses
Short tank range Slightly lumpy power delivery
