Carl Fogarty helps Pocher reveal 1:4-scale Ducati Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition
Pocher has teamed up with Carl Fogarty to reveal a 1:4-scale Ducati Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition, complete with more than 700 parts and working features.
Ever wanted to own a Ducati that you can plonk on a coffee table? Well, now you can, as Pocher has revealed its stunning quarter scale Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition kit.
Helping to reveal the new model was none other than Carl Fogarty, which took place at a special event at the Bike Shed, London.
‘Foggy’ is a four-time World Superbike Champion, each of which came courtesy of Ducati machinery. While Foggy also rode for Honda during his career, in both WSBK and MotoGP, his name is synonymous with the Borgo Panigale brand, meaning he holds legend status to Ducatisti worldwide.
Finished in Ducati’s signature red, the 1:4-scale model recreates the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition with more than 700 precision-engineered parts. That includes a detailed recreation of the engine and chassis, along with multi-textured fairings, a digital dash and working suspension.
There are also a few moving parts, including steerable handlebars, working suspension and a functional chain, giving the model more in common with the real thing than your average static display piece.
Pocher says the model takes more than 30 hours to build and carries a Skill Level 6 rating, so this isn’t quite a case of snapping a few bits together and sticking it on the shelf.
It costs £789.99 and is aimed squarely at collectors and serious model builders.
The real Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition was limited to just 555 examples, making Pocher’s officially licensed version a way for a few more enthusiasts to own a detailed recreation of Ducati’s final chapter for its Superquadro twin-cylinder engine.
The model is being launched alongside a 1:4-scale Ducati Superquadro V2 Engine Model Kit. It recreates the 155bhp, 104Nm engine from the real bike and contains more than 122 precision-engineered parts, as well as the screws needed for assembly.
At £159.99, the engine kit takes around three hours or more to build and is designed for modellers of all skill levels.
It comes with a black gloss acrylic display plinth and etched nameplate, so it can be displayed on its own or alongside the full motorcycle model.
So, if a £789.99 Ducati is a little outside your budget, Pocher’s engine offers a considerably cheaper way of getting some Superquadro hardware on your coffee table.
