Ducati teams up with Pirelli and SACS Marine to create a new RIB speedboat
Ducati’s latest collaboration takes its design and racing influences away from two wheels and onto the water.
Ducati has already put its name to cars, coffee machines and plenty of other things you probably wouldn't expect to find wearing a Ducati badge.
Now it's turning its attention to boats.
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has teamed up with Pirelli and SACS Marine to create a new Pirelli Speedboats model, with the boat being developed to celebrate Ducati's 100th anniversary.
There's not much technical information available yet, but Ducati says the new vessel has been inspired by one of its most exclusive motorcycles and features a special livery along with design details developed with Ducati's Centro Stile design department.
The boat is based on the existing Pirelli Speedboats range, which is produced through a long-running partnership between Pirelli and Italian marine manufacturer SACS Marine. The companies have worked together for more than 20 years, primarily producing high-performance maxi-RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats).
Ducati's involvement means the new model gets a distinctly motorcycle-inspired look, with the company saying that its racing heritage has influenced the lines, colours and details of the boat.
Exactly which Ducati motorcycle has provided the inspiration remains part of the reveal, with the new boat due to make its public debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival - 8 to 13 September.
The project is being presented as a meeting of three Italian brands, combining Ducati's motorcycle design and performance credentials with Pirelli's involvement in motorsport and SACS Marine's experience in the nautical world.
For Ducati, it's another example of how far the company is prepared to stretch its brand beyond motorcycles. The manufacturer has previously collaborated on cars, including its relationship with Lamborghini, while Ducati-branded products have also appeared in considerably less obvious places.
Now you can add a speedboat to the list.
Speaking about the new collaboration, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali said:
“Performance is a language that Ducati, Pirelli, and SACS Marine speak every day, each in their own world. The products change, but not the approach: the constant pursuit of excellence, the desire to push the limits and uncompromising attention to every detail. It is precisely this shared vision that made it natural for us to embark on this journey together,”
