Overall Review

I borrowed the Jeep slogan for my title but it applied to me. I never really thought of owning a Moto Guzzi but was always attracted to the Tenni green Griso and when I had a chance to acquire one, pulled the trigger. The undefinable traits really appeal to me because I like unique bikes. The Griso has all the right stuff and I love riding it. That it comes with heritage, I suppose that's a bonus. Buy one based on my review? Nah! It's a Griso thing, you either understand it or you don't.

Strengths

Unique style that defies definition. Big naked crusing tour sport bike. Loads of torque and a real rush over 6000 rpm. Competent suspension, brakey Brembo stoppers, great drivetrain. Comfortable ergos for a sporty bike. Handling does not disappoint. Did I mention it looks great.

Weaknesses

A bit thirsty and no lightweight.

Overall Review

You either love the steampunk engine or you don't, if you think you might like one you will really love it, but you need more than a run around the block to make sure. You could buy it just to look at it :-)

Strengths

great engine, more character than anything else you will ever own. It handles a LOT better than you think once you have setup the suspension, its set Italian hard as standard. It has some lovely design touches to make it a great looking bike. Practical and fun with a great soundtrack. Instruments and brakes are up to date and the carc shaft drive is nearly as good as a chain, but without the maintenance and dirt. A real steampunk bike. If you think its the bike for you then it really is and more, the rest of you wouldn't understand.

Weaknesses

Its heavy and long, which makes it stable and secure, but a little slow to hustle, drop the forks and use the leverage of the bars keeps it up with most things on the right road. Instruments are modern but not accurate, they tell you its thirsty but its not really, 43mpg average. Very well built, let down by some chrome plastic, like the indicators and instrument surround.
