Surprisingly good bike with bags of charm.
Getting accessories is a nightmare.
Moto Guzzi come out swinging with their new Breva V11, and they've got BMW's R1150R boxer twin up against the ropes

I love it. Gets more attention than my tricked up R1.

Strengths

Great looks, really comfortable, good range between fill ups, great fun dragging the stands and buffing your toes.

Weaknesses

A bit down on power, bouncy suspension.

Overall Review

A great moderate cost, unique, reliable shaft-drive sports-tourer that isn't cluttered up by a bunch of plastic fairing. Simple to ride, simple to work on. My wife calls it "the italian mistress"

Strengths

comfy adequate power, excellent brakes planted at highway speeds, adequate when the road gets twisty very sexy (in red) decent-sized 23 litre tank and reasonable fuel economy (6 L/100km) leads to 400 km range!!

Weaknesses

transmission can be a little clunky, but not bad rear shock is garbage

Overall Review

Just did 1700 miles in a week on a Pyranese trip. Apart from above listed faults, it really did perform well and was a nice place to be. I love the bike as an all rounder but obviously those faults made me wonder! I'm giving it a bit longer and hope to have the faults rectified at next service. It really does deserve a chance. Twiggers of Loughborough are a truly excellent and friendly dealership. Michelin pilot road tyres were better than the metzeler z6 for me. Build quality would have read good if it were not for the two faults identified above.

Strengths

Very handsome. Mine is the corsa red. Very comfortable seat. Panniers look good and make it a useful tourer. I have the heated grips and sports screen which also function well. Hepko and Becker engine bars give reassurance. Handles extremely well and can live with most bikes in bends. Shaft drive is un-noticeable once on the move. Brakes are faultless. Tank range is between 200-250 miles depending on conditions. Generally 45-54 mpg. Not many around!

Weaknesses

Water built up around the filler cap and failed to drain away. Eventually got in the tank and caused poor running. Cleared after two more tanks. Lesson learned and dried out daily by soaking up on loo roll. Failed to start several mornings when left out in wet and cold. Bumped down a hill and then ran all day with no problems. Hope to sort this at next service.

Overall Review

Very good all around bike,a perfect tourer ( with bags )and a good canyon carver! If this one gets wrecked...i'd buy another one !

Strengths

V.g. handling, very responsive coming up to corners, easier to lean because of engine configuration you don't get to fight the gyro effect( compare to my ST3 Duc )good torque especially after a carbon Mistral can ,which gave me 3 to 400 rpm earlier torque kick from stock, incredible seat comfort, you can ride to empty and still walk to the gas pump like a normal human being,Not like an Ape! Nice design, and draws a lot of attention and praises.

Weaknesses

Could use more clearence to the kick stand, more ponies wouldn't hurt ( compare to my RC51 )and could use a better shock. Not to crazy about naked bikes....but this one, is COOL !

Overall Review

A surprisingly brilliant all round bike that will cover huge distances in comfort or take you for a sunday ride. Very unique styling in the best Guzzi tradition

Strengths

Character, comfort and it handles too. Great brakes and top class build quality .A gorgeous engine that oozes torque and which performs well in excess of its specification on paper

Weaknesses

Soggy suspension that needs to be set up .

Overall Review

Superb. Does everything, while feeling like a big V-twin should. Takes a pillion without any fuss. I haven't ridden my other bike since I bought this one!

Strengths

It's a Guzzi! It's comfortable (with screen) for 8 hours at a time, has a wonderful torquey engine thats great for A-road overtaking, will sit at 80 all day long on the motorway, then scratch round mountain hairpins. Suspension is fine for an "average" rider like me, with a nice light gearbox, and a 200 mile range. It's a simple engine to service: four valves, screw and locknut tappets, three oils.

Weaknesses

It's a Guzzi: the finish needs some tlc, and occasional electrical gremlins may appear. While the gearbox action is beautifully light, the transmission itself can "clonk!" occasionally, and the clutch rattles like a Ducati. The steering has a lightness about it, which can be disconcerting over rutted tarmac, but otherwise it tracks superbly. The horn makes a truly pathetic "beep!", so has been replaced, and I'm still not sure about the shape of the tank. The OE exhaust is exceptionally quiet - even a Quill slip-on hasn't made it sound like a Guzzi should.

Overall Review

It's a neo-classic naked look. Love it love it, love it!!! It's a beautiful soulful bike. Not a speedy greyhound but a wonderful loyal golden retriever. Does everything, goes everywhere. Very little to polish and keep clean. More than enough torque and grunt to get out of the way and have fun Road presence is felt by drivers. Ergonomics is comfortable. Onboard computer is accurate. (I use the fuel consumption gauge/calculator a lot and it's accurate. The horn/signal switch, while needing a week or two to get accustomed, is actually well thought of: We generally use the signals more than the horn. The signals are lower down so the thumb need not lift so much to use it. Ergonomics thinking again. The in-built cigarette lighter is useful for charging phones and GPS Brakes are strong and engine braking on a V-twin is excellent. Revs high when needed. Brakes - Brembo braided s/s lines. Rims by Brembo Lots of bike for the $$ ACCESSORIES I disagree with the review that accessories are hrd to come by. There's more accessories online than one really needs unless you want to morph the whole bike. Want is the operating word. There are: - Screen (originals are OK. improve with Laminar lip (that's available too!) - Headlight protector - Online fr Australia - Engine crash guard (H&B ) - Guzzi engine fin protector - Alarm Guzzi - Original tank Scratch protector Luggage: Original Guzzi - Panniers - Top box - Handlebar bag - Tank bag

Strengths

With the original luggage - it's a formidable tourer (118 liters) full face helmet on either side with space to spare Narrow profile even with panniers - monoshock helps save overall width dimension. Handles like a Guzzi should - loves the twisties, long enough for stability If set up well, the suspensions float over rough / poorly pave bitumen float like a pillow A selection of top quality aftermarket silencers: get the great Guzzi grunt

Weaknesses

Get the starting issues sorted out as the first job, it'll be reliable like a japanese UJM - dream bike - soul with reliability (see wildguzzi.com forum for answers) Original screen buffers on the helmet for tall riders. Very little other cons - Compared to the 1200 sport ? more HP, but 86-90 is good enough for me!
