Overall Review

A great Bike for everyday use. Still fun enough to enjoy riding. Top speed OK, handling OK, Braking OK.... It does everything OK and nothing badly. At the price level it is hard to beat

Strengths

Torquey engine. Great wheelies in 2nd through 3rd gear. Practical, reasonably economical (when not riding like a looney). Good riding position.

Weaknesses

Rear shock still a bit under damped.... chatters on hard braking into corners. Rear brake not so much feedback

Overall Review

I have also got a 2011 ZX10 that I love with a passion. If I had to choose to keep only one bike it would be the ER6. As a town bike it is just perfect. Ok with a pillion, Most of all just a fun bike to ride.

Strengths

Changes direction like a house fly. Brakes are pretty good comfortable and economical. Fantastic feed back from the road. Engine is also good. Mirrors that allow you to see things behind you

Weaknesses

None. If I was being very critical the rear shock is a little underdamped.

Overall Review

If you have ridden the older model it will instantly feel like home but without all those little niggles. The seat is comfy the bars feel less cramped you can see things in the mirrors the fuel injection is much smoother the whole bike just feels more together than the older one. And now instead of a face that only a mother could love it could get a piece at anybody's door.

Strengths

Does everything it's supposed to and can be exciting too

Weaknesses

Rear indicators leak if commuting in heavy rain and when you blow the bulbs the are not a standard size and you have to order them, neat bit of black insulating tape easily fixes this minor flaw. The rearsets which support the pillion footpegs have a bit of movement in them

Overall Review

This bike thoroughly impressed me with its punchy motor, natural riding position and frugal 71mpg economy.

Strengths

Low down torque with a punchy top end hit. Good throttle response, good manners in traffic. Ergonomics are very good, nice and comfy. Excellent mpg, I average 71 U.K. Mpg. Good looking bike, split rider and passenger seat. Perfect all rounder, plenty of punch to surprise other bikes whatever their capacity.

Weaknesses

Can't select 2nd gear from neutral, so you have to go 1-6. Common to Kawasaki's but not other manufacturers. Suffers corrosion more than other bikes so keep on top of it with washing regularly and ACF50. 3,750 mile service intervals. Every 2nd one is an oil change i.e. 7,000 miles, 14,000 miles.
