Overall Review
The bike is the ultimate sport touring machine. The limited weight, the 200 mile range, the capacity to carry enough clothes for a good 5-7 day trip. It is everything anyone would ever need in a motorcycle. Love the traction control.
Strengths
Lighter weight than my 08 C-14. Love the seating position. My Pillion loves the seat. The Brakes are rock solid and the Motor is a DREAM. Plenty of usable power. Wind protection is much better than expected. Love the integrated side bags. I also purchased the color matched top case that is on back order for a few weeks. Great value for the money you spend. The look of the bike gets major attention no matter where I ride it.All riders seem to love the look. Great gas mileage. 43MPG with just over 1000 miles on the clock. Love having a center stand for basic maintenance. The bike is amazing!
Weaknesses
Gear indicator not included? Could have heated grips installed but I also understand they are trying to keep the price point at this level. Some might say the chain drive, but this does not bother me. The side bags could be a little bigger, they do look good on the bike. The bike is tall but I am 6'2" with a 34" inseam so it is no issue with me.

Overall Review
Brilliant comfortable Sports tourer with a fantastic engine and great standard BT 30 tyres.
Europe here we come!
Strengths
After riding sports bikes I needed more comfort!
Love the riding position with fantastic view of the road ahead, the engine which comes from the Z1000 has been reworked for more midrange and torque, thde result is an awesome engine.
I have the GT1000 with full hard luggage, LED spotlights, power socket, gear indicator, ABS, Traction control + power mode and centre stand!
The bike can mosey along sedately but equally keep up with sports bike's! The Versys weighs 250kg but once on move it is brilliantly balanced.
My pillion loves the comfort with 250 ml days no problem.
Weaknesses
Seat height may be a problem at 840mm however at 5' 7 with thick soled boots I don't have an issue.
Kawasaki also do a lowering kit.
Digital readout could be larger as on the move it's difficult to read.
Original screen not great as it causes bad buffeting of head, I've fitted an MRA touring screen, excellent.

Just a perfect bike for me, sporty, comfy, great engine, luggage and all day comfort, goes like stink without frightening the shit out of you!
Strengths
Engine, handling when setup properly, comfort, build quality, luggage, price
Weaknesses
Changed the screen as I do on every bike I've had, very personal thing, none are perfect ! Apart from that, love it!
