You Can Buy a Brand New John McGuinness-Signed Honda Fireblade, But It Isn’t Cheap
Missed out on the John McGuinness 100th TT Start Race Replica Fireblade? One with just six miles on the clock is up for sale
A true legend of the Isle of Man TT, John McGuinness is a 23-time race winner around the famous road course, with only Michael Dunlop and Joey Dunlop having won more races.
A lot of his success was aboard the Honda Fireblade SP. In 2023 McGuinness made his 100th race start and a replica of the bike he used was created by Honda to celebrate.
Smothered in the sponsors he races with, the McGuinness-signed Honda CBR1000RR-R is a stunning piece of kit that’s striped in white, red and gold. If you missed out when these were originally on sale, here’s an example that has just six factory miles on the clock.
Available via The Bike Specialists in Sheffield, the price for this unique motorcycle is £39,999 and it’s one of just 30 units produced worldwide. This particular version of the McGuinness special is number ten.
At the time of the bike’s launch, Honda said: "This year’s Isle of Man TT races saw John McGuinness, MBE hit a truly amazing milestone of 100 TT race starts, and Honda Racing paid homage to the TT legend with a one-off special celebratory livery.
“The vibrant gold graphics were intertwined with images from every one of John’s 100 races, and John even had a matching set of leathers! Based on the top-specification 30th Anniversary CBR1000RR-R SP, the gold detailing mirrors the livery of the history-making Fireblade ridden by John at last June's Isle of Man TT races."
The bike was initially launched in 2022 at Motorcycle Live and the paint scheme of this bike is a of the CBR1000RR-R he raced with at the 2022 Isle of Man TT edition.
Additional add-ons from the standard CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP include a carbon front mudguard, rear hugger, seat cowl, and a tall screen. The airbox cover is where McGuinness’ signature lies and the headstock carries the number ten numbered plaque.
