The top 20 starter list for this year’s 1000cc Isle of Man TT races has been revealed, with many headline names lining up in their famous positions, along with some key changes.

For the third time in four years, 23-time TT winner John McGuinness MBE will lead the field away at number one, however, there’s changes at number two as David Johnson of the Platinum Club Racing Kawasaki team is moving up the order. McGuinness is set to make his 112th start at the Isle of Man TT when the Superbike race gets underway later this year.

Johnson is followed by Dean Harrison, who will line up at his familiar starting spot of third, ahead of regular top-six finisher Jamie Coward. Harrison will be aboard the second Honda Racing UK bike, as he once again lines up alongside McGuinness at Honda Racing UK.

James Hillier will again take the number five spot, before the most successful rider in TT history gets going. That is, of course, Michael Dunlop, who is going in search of his 30th career TT win in 2025. Dunlop is expected to be aboard BMW machinery, although his plans have not yet been confirmed.

For the first time in his career, Josh Brookes will start a third successive TT campaign and he’s again set to take off from the number seven spot. Brookes will be riding the Jackson Racing powered by Prosper2 Honda, before first-time TT winner last year, Davey Todd, will launch away from eighth.

Behind Todd is Mike Browne who will be competing in the first Isle of Man TT for the Michael Laverty-owned MLav Racing team. Browne is also seeded in the top ten for the first time in his career.

Starting at number ten, as he has done each year since 2017, will be Peter Hickman aboard the second 8Ten Racing BMW - Todd is his team-mate on the other M1000 RR. Hickman is the winner of seven out of the last ten 1000cc races at the TT.

A fourth BMW is set to head off at number 11, and the rider doing so will be Conor Cummins aboard the Burrows Engineering/RK Racing bike.
