The top 20 starting grid for the 2025 Isle of Man TT races has been revealed
This year’s starting grid for the 2025 Isle of Man TT Supertwin races has been confirmed, with Paul Jordan set to lead off the chasing pack.
While the top 20 list features many of the riders and teams we would expect, there’s a new addition to the category for 2025 as Padgetts Racing is entering the class with two-time TT race winner Davey Todd.
Despite being the newest class at the Isle of Man TT, the Supertwin category has grown in popularity at a rapid rate of knots, and the 2025 races could be the best we’ve seen to date.
Expected to be the rider to beat is Michael Dunlop, who is not only going in search of his 30th career win at the TT this year, but he also completed a supertwin double in 2024.
Dunlop will take off from his familiar position of sixth aboard the MD Racing Paton machine, with Pierre-Yves Bian, Michael Rutter, Jamie Coward and Michael Evans setting off before him.
Like Dunlop, Todd will be riding a Paton which is arguably the bike to beat in the supertwin class, and he will set off from eighth, with only Adam McLean separating him from Dunlop.
Mike Browne will go from ninth, as is the case in the 1,000cc races, while Peter Hickman’s starting position is also unchanged throughout the 2025 TT event, as he will roll away from tenth.
After being left without a ride when WTF Racing shockingly called an end to its road racing project a couple of weeks ago, Dominic Herbertson has since found a seat for this year’s races with Melbray Racing, and he will line up on 13th, again aboard a Paton S1-R.
A total of nine riders inside the top 20 will be riding Paton machinery, while two riders (Bian and AJ Venter) have not confirmed what machinery they will be riding.
