Suzuki GSX-8R receives long-awaited new colour

Suzuki GB has revealed a new colourway for the GSX-8R, which is the same one that was recently launched in Germany.

The Suzuki GSX-8R is now available in the UK with a bright orange colourway, and as a bonus, the new livery comes at no extra cost.

It seems as though 2026 is quickly becoming a year in which Suzuki wants to offer something a little bit different alongside its staple palette. Synonymous with the brand are the colours, blue, black, white, and even yellow.

The latter was even used last year when Suzuki dressed its GSX-8R Kirro Limited Edition model in a very bright, and predominantly yellow livery.

However, this new orange option is the same as what’s found aboard the GSX-8R in Germany, and not too dissimilar to the new anniversary edition that’s only available in France.

In Germany, the identical orange livery is offered alongside a bunch of accessories as standard, including a passenger seat cover, brake and clutch levers made of aluminium, and a tank pad and transparent tank protection film.

Beyond the new colour, the GSX-8R has not been tweaked in any way, meaning it continues to deliver 82bhp and 57.5 Ib-ft of torque from its 776cc parallel-twin platform.

For those who might be wondering, the new colourway has been revealed as a standard option, not as a special or limited edition.

That also means the new orange variant will cost UK customers the same £8,999 that’s required to purchase the GSX-8R in a Triton Blue, Pearl White and Matt Black.

The GSX-8R remains one of the most standout bikes in what is a heavily saturated middleweight sportbike segment. The bike won last year’s National Sportbike Championship in the UK and currently sits inside the top three of the all-new World Sportbike Championship.

Through the first six races, the GSX-8R has already secured two wins, which is currently the second-highest total behind Kawasaki’s ZX-6R 636 (3).
