Suzuki GSX-8R gets new special edition but only in one country
The Suzuki GSX-8R has received a new anniversary edition, but it will only be available in one country.

The Suzuki GSX-8R is one of the more prominent bikes in the heavily saturated twin-cylinder middleweight sports category, and it’s just got a new update.
Admittedly, it's not a major technical overhaul we’re talking about here, but the Suzuki GSX-8R Anniversary Edition does get a series of small changes.
Most notably is the red, orange, and black paint scheme, which is based on that used by the Hayabusa Anniversary Edition launched in 2023.
The new special edition GSX-8R, which uses the same 776cc parallel twin engine that it was equipped with when it first launched in 2023, gets a selection of other minor tweaks and additions, too, including a colour-matched seat cover, smoked windscreen, a USB port and a matching protective cover.
The price for this is an additional €799 on top of the price of the standard 2026 GSX-8R, making the price of the anniversary edition €9,798, or around £8,500.
But it’s the price in Euros that is more important here, because the Suzuki.GSX-8R Anniversary Edition is the creation of Suzuki France, and will therefore only be available across the English Channel as the Édition Anniversaire.
This was also true of the aforementioned Hayabusa Anniversary Edition, and it is admittedly a shame for us English pigs.
Over here, though, Suzuki has recently reduced the prices of the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, and last month brought some new graphics kits out for the GSX-S1000 and the GSX-8R’s unfaired sibling, the GSX-8S.
Maybe we’re just being greedy in wanting this GSX-8R Anniversary Edition to come to the UK, but it really is an attractive colour scheme.
