RST has revealed its all-new Spectre Air mesh jacket with summer riding in mind, and it only costs £109.

The new jacket from RST is available in four colours: black, silver, olive, and petrol, and it achieves a single ‘A’ CE rating - CE ratings for motorcycle jackets range from A, the lowest, to AAA the highest rated.

When it comes to features, the jacket is all about ventilation, which will please sunny weather chasers. The UK’s surprisingly hot weather could soon be making a return, making RST’s new garment a viable option for the current conditions.

But the Spectre Air could also serve as an option for riders who like to tour Europe in some of the hottest weather.

The jacket features RST’s Maxtex-S lightweight stretch fabric and “offers a supreme level of comfort, especially when worn over a base layer or T-shirt”, says the British brand.

The new Spectre Air mesh jacket is not quite as protection-focused as the company’s S-1 mesh jacket, which features Level 1 shoulder protection as well. That’s also been reflected in the price as the new piece of clothing is £30 cheaper than the S-1.

Both are geared towards summer riding, though, while the new Spectre Air jacket is one of three new garments in RST’s jacket department. The new line-up also includes a Pro Vulcan textile jacket with an RRP of £299.

Then there’s the most premium jacket of the three, the Pro Series Supersport-K. It’s made from Kangaroo leather and is paired with RST’s latest generation four-way stretch fabric and 3D mesh. It also gains the highest AAA CE certification, Level 2 armour, and a factory-fitted Level 2 back protector.

The Supersport-K jacket comes with a price tag of £449 and is available in just one colour, which is black and grey.

More information on all three jackets can be found on the official RST website.
