Royal Enfield has teased further limited edition models after UK riders received their long-awaited ICON Shotgun 650 bikes.

At the turn of the year, Royal Enfield confirmed a new partnership with ICON Motorsports, which would ultimately lead to 100 limited edition Shotgun 650 models. A few months removed from that announcement, the six lucky owners of these new bikes in the UK have now received their motorcycles.

A total of 26 models were produced for the European market, with that same number also available to customers in India. 25 models were limited to the Asia-Pacific region, while the remaining 17 Shotgun 650s went to the United States.

Adrian Sellers, Head of the Custom & Motorsport sector at Royal Enfield, said:

"It's exciting to see these unique motorcycles finally arrive with their lucky owners. This was a very special project with us, and working with Icon Motorsport allowed us to really show off the potential of the Shotgun 650. This release underscores Royal Enfield’s commitment to creating special, distinctive motorcycles that resonate with our community. The Shotgun 650 ICON Edition is a testament to Royal Enfield’s rich heritage of customisation and the passion of our riders.”

While the focus of Royal Enfield’s press release was to highlight the arrival of its new limited run of Shotgun 650 models in the hands of customers, it also teased further limited edition models.

The Indian company said “future limited-edition Royal Enfield motorcycles are on the horizon”, and that more information can be found by contacting your local dealer.

So what would we like to see from future limited edition Royal Enfield bikes?

There are a few ways Royal Enfield could go with a new limited edition run, but with its Bear 650 scrambler set to turn a year old, that’s a bike that makes a lot of sense to us. Not to mention it would look right at home with a special colour scheme.

The Bear 650 will mark its one-year anniversary next month, after it was launched on 5 November, 2024, at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy.

Another model we would like to see get a limited edition run is the Super Meteor 650, which according to reports in India, was spotted testing during the summer ahead of a potential 2026 update.
