Official 2013 WSB calendar dates
Indian round postponed to November
THE schedule of this year's World Superbike championship schedule has been revised, with the key change being the shifting of the Indian round to 17 November.
We'd recently reported that customs issues were threatening the Indian round, originally pencilled in for 10 March.
However the FIM's official reason for postponing the round to November is "an insufficient period of time to properly finalise the training of the marshals and medical staff around the racetrack".
Indian racing fans, who have been gearing up for the first ever Indian WSB race, will now have to park their excitement for a few more months. But the rescheduling means that the country could host a thrilling season finale (or a damp squib if the championship is already decided by then).
FIM representatives will be at New Delhi's Buddh International circuit this weekend to carry out the final racetrack homologation and provide seminars about various aspects of the event.
The latest WSB schedule is still a provisional version: June's WSB races are still unclear, with one race yet to be allocated, and two (Portimao and Imola) subject to contract.
