Bradley Ray powered to his second British Superbike Championship (BSB) win of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, with another commanding performance at Oulton Park.

The RICH Energy OMG Yamaha rider landed his first BSB win in four years during race one after battling back from seventh on the grid, but after earning himself pole position for race two as a result, enjoyed a more serene start to day from pole.

Getting the hole-shot into Turn 1, Ray was never headed thereafter, holding his nerve despite a mid-race safety car to clear Luke Mossey’s barrier-damaging Honda on lap eight bunching the pack up.

Lee Jackson equalled his best-ever finish in BSB with a dogged run to second place, thethe FS-3 Racing Kawasaki rider getting the jump on team-mate Rory Skinner to run third until lap 15 when he leapfrogged Kyle Ryde.

Denying OMG Yamaha a 1-2 finish, Ryde would also be overhauled by Leon Haslam, whose late charge on the VisionTrack Kawasaki saw him land the first podium of his comeback season in third.

Skinner continued his run of top five finishes with fifth place, ahead of McAMS’ Jason O’Halloran - once more the third best of the Yamaha contingent - top Suzuki rider Christian Iddon and FHO BMW’s Peter Hickman.

Championship leader Glenn Irwin enjoyed a strong second race after finishing outside the top ten in race one, but could still only manage ninth on the Honda. As a result, he holds just a single point lead over the resurgent Ray in the standings.

Josh Brookes rounded out the top ten, heading off Danny Buchan, Ryan Vickers and Tom Sykes, whose struggles on his return to BSB continued in 13th. Storm Stacey and Tom Neave completed the top fifteen.
