Race winner Bradley Ray will switch to the Rich Energy OMG Racing squad for the 2021 British Superbike Championship, joining Kyle Ryde in a fresh rider line-up.
Ray, who won two races in 2018 en route to the Title Showdown aboard the Buildbase Suzuki, competed with Synetiq BMW in 2020 and scored a best finish of fifth but was dropped from the line-up in favour of Danny Buchan and Andrew Irwin.
BMW M 1000 RR vs its WorldSBK rivals
For 2021, Ray will stay on BMW machinery but switch to the new M 1000 RR sportsbike under the OMG Racing banner alongside 2020 rookie standout Ryde, who won two races in his maiden campaign on a Suzuki.
āIām excited to be joining RICH Energy OMG Racing and getting to work on the new BMW M 1000 RR. Theyāre a really welcoming team and ever since they came into the paddock, Iāve been a fan of the family atmosphere that they have. Theyāre one of those teams who have the right attitude and just want you to enjoy your racing.
āIāve got a yearās worth of experience on the S 1000 RR and I think that the new bike will just reinforce those weaker areas where we struggled last season. I want to be back fighting for podiums regularly, and after sitting down with Paul and Alan I feel confident theyāre investing in all the right places to give me every chance to get back to where I know I can be.
āItās great to be riding with Kyle, whoās a good mate and I think weāll both help to push each other forward. Iād like to say a big thank you to all my friends, family and sponsors for all their support, and I canāt wait to get started on this new challenge!ā
