90 degrees motorcycle stand

Design project 'almost finished'

Dominykas Belkevicius from Lithuania is working on a motorcycle stand and has sent a link to this short video.

The stand is called '90 degrees' and you can secure your bike automatically. The project is nearing completion and that the looks of the final version will be improved.

There's no word on price at the moment but Dominykas is after people's opinions. What are your thoughts on this product?

"Motorcycle goes straight into inside of stand, stand squeezes front tyre (rim is not affected) using rotating wheels all around contact surface. Because contact is made by rotating wheels - no harm is made for tyre. User can adjust squeeze pressure, position of contact surfaces (up and down). So principle is that driver goes inside stand, it squeezes front tyre and locks. Motorcycle stands firmly, almost ideal perpendicularly to ground. Driver can leave motorcycle, no other actions are needed. After driver sits back again to have a ride it puts few left hand fingers into ring which is connected to lock mechanism, pushes it so squeeze is relaxed and motorcycle can leave now, stand itself goes back to its start position waiting for user to come back again. This stand must be fixed to ground."
