Pramac Yamaha will have a feeder team in 2025 after confirming Tony Arbolino and Izan Guevara in its Moto2 lineup.

Yamaha signalled its intent to return to the top of MotoGP in a big way earlier this season when it pinched Pramac away from Ducati. Even better for Yamaha is the fact they have taken the reigning world champion team away from its Italian rivals, as Jorge Martin won the rider’s title for the team on Sunday in Barcelona.

Over the last two seasons Pramac, along with the Lenovo Ducati outfit, has been one of the most successful teams in the paddock and will lineup with Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira next season.

But its new Moto2 project means a feeder team set-up can now be implemented, while it's also pulled off the signing of Guevara who was Moto3 world champion two seasons ago.

“We are thrilled that Yamaha's collaboration with Pramac will extend to the Moto2 class straight away in 2025,” said managing director Lin Jarvis.

"The creation of the Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team reflects Yamaha's dedication to nurturing young talents and guiding them through the racing ranks as well as the company's dedication to be back at the top of MotoGP.

"The creation of the Pramac Yamaha Moto2 Team is a natural development and fits in with Yamaha's acclaimed BLU CRU programme, which successfully develops riders across multiple disciplines.

"With Tony Arbolino and Izan Guevara, we have an outstanding rider line-up for the new Moto2 team, combining skills, talent, and potential. We look forward to seeing their journey unfold as we continue building a stronger foundation for Yamaha's future in MotoGP.”

Pramac decided to look for pastures new when Ducati chose Marc Marquez over Martin for 2025, which led to the latter opting for a future away from Ducati.

Keen to bring more young talent into MotoGP as it did with the now one-time premier champion, team owner Paolo Campinoti added: “Pramac Racing has always been committed to nurturing young talents, supporting their growth, and helping them become key protagonists in MotoGP and even World Champions.

"We are proud to strengthen this mission by expanding our presence into Moto2. I am confident that we have the team and technical expertise needed to start this exciting new chapter on the right track.”
