Oset Stuns with Five Wild Custom Builds at the 2025 Bike Shed Show
Oset took some special versions of its electric trials bikes to the Bike Shed Moto Show, with five custom builds appearing at the event

Electric trials specialists Oset Bikes made a big splash at this year’s Bike Shed Moto Show, rolling into London with not one, but five head-turning custom creations, each built on the brand’s TXP platform and each proving that electric doesn’t mean boring.
Known best for its youth-friendly trials bikes, Oset used the event to flip the script, unveiling a line-up of bespoke builds that wouldn’t look out of place in a custom paddock full of petrolheads. The collection spanned styles from café racer cool to rugged utility. All of the bike are 100 per cent electric and unmistakably Oset.
Electric Bobber Vibes – Meet the ‘Bosset’

Leading the charge was the Bosset – a bobber-inspired beauty designed by company founder Ian Smith and long-time collaborator Tony Lane. Built on the TXP-24 frame, it’s finished in a deep burgundy with hand-stitched leather details from seat to strap, and even features a working speedometer. Classic lines meet modern power – and the result is stunning.
The Tomahawk – The Retro Roadster Option

Next up was the Tomahawk, a stripped-back machine created by Oset trials rider Tom Hawthorne. Using the TXP-20 as its base, it pairs a retro-style round headlamp with a dark pine green tank. It’s a clean, simple build that nods to vintage influences while staying true to Oset’s minimalist electric ethos.
The Ranger – Built to Explore

Then there’s the Ranger, crafted by Oset R&D technician Chris Mayhew. With a new frame colour, integrated utility storage and modern lighting, it turns the TXP-24 into an electric overlander of sorts – ready for dirt paths, city streets or whatever’s in between. It’s arguably the most practical of the five, but no less eye-catching.
Throwback Café Racer and 3D-Printed Surprise

Also on display was the original Café Racer concept from 2013, revived for the show with its sleek silver frame and tank combo. And then there’s the one that really got tongues wagging – the Bear Cub. With a 3D-printed tank and design cues clearly nodding to classic Triumphs, this one had people queuing to buy it on the spot. Sadly, it's not for sale... yet.
Star-Studded Stunts and Full Range on Display

Beyond the custom eye candy, Oset also brought its full production range for visitors to check out, giving riders young and old a chance to get hands-on with the bikes that made the brand famous. The Oset stunt team didn’t hold back either – performing daring jumps over special guests, including Charley Boorman, YouTuber Harvey Rides Bikes, and Bike Shed founder Anthony “Dutch” van Someren, all lying flat atop the brand’s 6ft demo trailer.
“We were incredibly excited to be part of the Bike Shed Show – it’s a festival of craftsmanship, creativity, and community,” said Ian Smith. “Our custom builds show a new side of Oset, while our full production range reminds people why we’re leaders in electric motorcycling for the next generation.”
